"Gori se, Chhori se":: Lady Sangeet Script

We Baniyas/Marwari have a several traditional activities in Wedding. We have a secret desire that every event should be special , unique  and enjoyable. During Baan/Haldi we have a decent crowd and can organize the below mentioned activity.

It is a small play that can be performed in the grooms wedding where 2-3 girls can perform this act. It is a simple and sober act that cheers everyone up and make your haldi different from others. @ person can sing the song and other two can perform the act.

So the plays goes like this.

Hmare dulhe raja ke liye , hmari dulhan(brides name) ka rishta aaya hai. Dono pheli baar milte, kuch baatein krte hai... Ghar mein charcha rishte ke baarein mein. Hmare dulhe raja apni maya ke pass jaate hai or bade hi bhole andaaz mein kehte hai....

Kabul ka Pathan

During a lady sangeet or a small ladies get together we often want to plan some fun activities that can cheer the audience and that is easy to execute. So we have come up with this activity "KABUL KA PATHAN". Here goes the lyrics

Requirements-:
1) 2 duppatta
2) 1 Stick
3) Kurta (optional)

The girl/Lady hosting the event should first wear the kurta and  tie a turban from one of the two duppattas. Tie the second duppatta around the waist. Now take the Lathi and enter the audience acting like you are a pathan from kabul.  Ask a few audience to Speak "Haanji" at the end of y our each sentence.

It is a very light event and make the audience laugh and smile.

A hindu wedding shiksha is given to bride by her sister/Bhabhi just before vidai is a part and parcel of hindu wedding.  We as the sissies want to give the perfect shiksha to our sister.

Ganesh Vandana :: Marwari Geet

Lord Ganesha is symbol of happiness and luck. In marwari's no function can be started without praying the lord and inviting him in the family. In my brother's marriage we welcomed ganesha into the family with this beautiful geet mentioned below. In Lady sangeet, ganesh vandana is must. Significance of ganesh vandana is increased if we sing the song instead of dancing.

All the ladies of the house can sit on the stage forming a semi circle  and can sing this beautiful geet. Sing this geet in 3,5,7,11 numbers to make it more graceful and shubh.
