Tribute to Father :: Birthday,wedding, Hindi

Below poem is an ode/tribute to ones Father/Papa. I found it very touching and therefore thought of sharing with a bigger audience.


Jab mummy Daant rahi thi toh koi
Chhupke se hassan raha tha, Vo the Papa..


Jab main so rahi thi tab koi
Chupke se sir par haath phira raha tha, vo the papa..

Jab main subah uthi toh koi bahut thak kar bhi
Kaam par ja rha tha, Vo the papa..

Khud kadi dhoop mein reh kar
koi mujhe ac mein sula rha tha, Vo the Papa..

Sapne toh mere the par unhein poora karne ka
Rasta koi or btaiye ja rha tha, Vo the Papa..

Main toh sirf apni khushiyon mein hasti hun
par meri hassi dekh kar koi apne gam bhulaye ja rha tha, Vo the Papa..

Phal khane ki jyada zarurat toh unhein hai
par mujhe seb khilaye ja rhe the, Vo the Papa..

Khush toh bahut hona chaiye ki vo mujhe miley, par mere
janam lene ki khushi koi or manaye ja rha tha, Vo the Papa..

Ghar mein sab apna pyar dikhate hain par
koi bina dikhaye bhi itna pyar kiye ja rha tha, Vo the Papa..

Vida toh main ho rhi thi, par mujhse bhi
adhik aason koi or bahaye ja rha tha, Vo the Papa..

Main apni beti shabad ko saarthak bna sakti ya nahi
par koi bina swarth ke apne pita shabad ko saarthak banaye ja rha tha, vo the papa!


This is a great tribute to your father and can be used in events such as his birthday, marriage aniversary or some other functions. We should all gift it to our dear father. I have a hindi version of it as well. Leave a comment and I'll share with you.
